ABOUT NINE DESIGNS
Hi! Welcome to Nine Designs. I (Ruth - the one woman band behind Nine Designs) started creating headbands when I decided to embrace my natural locks. I had never felt confident with my natural curls, but knew it was time to stop frazzling them with heat, so wanted something to help disguise the frizz and make me feel more confident with my natural hair. Having found nothing I liked online, I decided to create my own headband. After making one, I was so happy with how comfy and confident it made me feel, I couldn't resist making more.
And now we're here!
DID YOU KNOW...
The majority of our headbands are made from recycled or re-purposed fabrics. I had so many clothes in my wardrobe that I had never worn (and mainly just bought because of the gorgeous fabric). So, I decided to chop them up and create something I would actually wear from them.
Now I have exhausted the stock of old clothes in my wardrobe, I instead scour the local charity shops for beautiful fabrics, steal fabric scraps from my mums sewing projects, and try and persuade family and friends to give me their old clothes to be re-purposed.
